Magpie Revisited

After some time off to fight off demon bed bugs and move into a new home, I am venturing back into the world of the Magpie. I took the time to explore the wonderful world of beading with the fantastic people at Bdekk Beads. I have also started a small time cleaning business to make money for my beading and silver smithing addictions.

38" large link commercial copper chain with large turquoise nuggets occupying the inside of 5 of the links, and little rugged nuggets dangling from the same links. Hand made clasp.

Sterling Multi Ring Choker with Random Iolite Gemstones

Commercial sterling silver choker length chain - 16" - with a sprinkling of beautiful, good quality, blue/purple iolite briolettes strung on thread and knotted between each. The clasp is a little sterling locking clasp, as would be used on a traditional string of pearls for added security.

9" argentium chain maille bracelet with big sterling figure 8 clasp.

Chain maille is not normally forged or fused, but I did both to this piece, giving it a really slick look. Can be made smaller.

Ball Rivet Bracelet

8" sterling silver bracelet using ball rivets and links. This was quite difficult and time consuming to make, but turned out well.

This time consuming little necklace is completely hand made, except for the little, inconspicuous lobster claw.
Each link was sawn, fused, formed, sanded and forged by hand.
